[ARCHIVED] Sign Up to Volunteer at Eugene Sunday Streets

The popular Eugene Sunday Streets is set for Sunday, July 29, and coordinators are seeking volunteers to make this summer’s event bigger and better than ever, especially with the return of the EUG Parade!

This free community event is joyfully supported by an amazing crew of volunteers. We invite you to join us and have a blast. It’s not too late to sign up.

Volunteer Details

Volunteer time slots average two hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The event is open from noon to 4 p.m. and the EUG Parade kicks things off at 10 a.m. There is a role for everyone. We especially need Intersection Superheroes, who help staff the intersections along the route and during the parade.

About Eugene Sunday Streets

Now in its eighth year, Eugene Sunday Streets consists of two free summer events focused on building community and promoting an active lifestyl:

  • Sunday, July 29, Downtown Eugene (kicked off with the EUG Parade)
  • Sunday, July 23, Churchill and West Eugene neighborhoods

These fun, free events feature major activity centers in City parks along the routes. Activities include:

  • Live music stages
  • Try-for-free fitness classes
  • Yoga
  • Electric bike test-rides
  • Free helmets and much more

With no designated start or finish, the two-way route can be enjoyed by foot, bicycle, roller skates, skateboards, and other forms of transportation at each person’s own pace. The event is designed to get the entire community outside, having fun and enjoying healthy activities in Eugene’s public spaces while showing how easy it is to get around without a car.
