[ARCHIVED] Police Respond to Armed Dispute - Case No. 18-16383

Last night, October 9, around 8:48 p.m., Eugene Police responded to 2135 Sally Way for an armed dispute between a husband and wife during which the husband, Adam Warren Kingsley, age 33, was reported to have threatened his wife with a handgun and had a medical incident during the dispute. Multiple Eugene Police officers responded to the scene. As officers arrived, the victim was able to safely exit the residence to awaiting officers. The suspect briefly remained inside the house with access to the firearm. Officers surrounded the residence and Kingsley quickly came out on his own, but immediately became non-compliant with lawful commands and posed a threat to officers. Officers used less lethal options to safely take Kingsley into custody, and he sustained a minor bruising to his leg. The victim was not injured during this incident. Eugene Fire and EMS responded to the scene and transported Kingsley to a local hospital for evaluation. He was subsequently lodged at Lane County Jail on a charge of Menacing APA (Abuse Prevention Act). Case No. 18-16383
