Have a coat in need of mending? A toaster lever that won’t stay down? What about dull garden pruners? Community members can get these items and many others repaired for free at upcoming Fix-it Fair.
Join the Repair Revolution
The Fix-it-Fairs are part of a longer term effort that raises awareness about repair options in our community. Volunteers and professionals will provide repairs, and attendees will have opportunities to repair their items with coaching.

- Location: Lane Events Center in partnership with the Lane County Farmers Market
- Admission: Free
The Eugene Public Library Maker Hub will provide activities for kids and adults. There will also be furniture demos for people interested in learning how to do easy home repairs.
What to Bring
- Clothing or textiles in need of mending
- Jewelry
- Tools in need of sharpening or repair
- Small appliances (such as lamps and toasters)
- Small electronics
- Furniture
- Bicycles
- Toys
*Gas-powered items, cook stoves and computers will not be accepted.
To cut down on unnecessary waiting times during busy periods, a maximum of ONE broken item per person will be examined. The Fix-it Fair will be first-come, first-serve. Space is limited.
Diverting from the Landfill
In 2017, the City of Eugene held three Fix-it Fairs. Over 400 people attended these events and over 70% of items were repaired. Repair hobbyists and professionals helped to divert over 2,000 pounds of stuff from the landfill.
