[ARCHIVED] Police Seek Tips in Hit and Run Involving Pedestrian

At 7:39 p.m., on December 10, a sedan was backing at a high rate of speed south bound on Lincoln Street at W.10th Avenue, and hit a 63-year-old Eugene man who was walking across Lincoln at W. 10th Avenue. The sedan sped away after hitting the victim, who sustained serious injuries in the crash.


The vehicle is described as a white (or light colored) sedan, with tinted windows and a broken tail light. The sedan might possibly be a Camry or Acura.


Police are seeking tips from witnesses and would like anyone with relevant information to contact Officer Shawn Trotter at 541.968.8396. It is possible there were people in the area who observed the vehicle, and/or might have cam footage. Case 1819453
