[ARCHIVED] Found! Elderly Victim's Stolen Tricycle

Great news! An officer located the tricycle yesterday around 4 a.m. The officer saw it being escorted down the street by two men. The two subjects said they just found it in the bushes near Whitebird. Neither man resembled the male in the surveillance photo. While officers were trying to figure out a safe way to transport this bulky item, a helpful Advanced Security officer arrived and offered to bring it to ECU in his truck. The tricycle was lodged at ECU to be returned to the owner.

Previous Info:

Eugene Police received a report on March 11 that an elderly person’s tricycle was stolen from the fenced portion of an assisted living residence in the 1100 block of Olive Street. The theft occurred sometime between the evening of March 8 and when the victim discovered it missing on March 11.

The tricycle is a grey, Schwinn Meridian ,with 26” wheels.

From surveillance photo, the suspect appears to be a white male, approximately 5’ 9” to 6’ 1” tall, and weighing approximately 175 pounds. Although the photo is not clear, there are some color patterns that might be recognizable to the right person.
