On August 26 at approximately 2:25 a.m., police and Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a large dumpster fire which spread to the nearby apartment building on the 1200 block of Ferry Street. When police arrived, the fire had been suppressed and heavy smoke and water damage was observed to two apartments on separate levels. No one was injured during the incident and police are continuing to investigate the incident as Arson. Red Cross was notified and responded to the scene to assist the affected residents.
