Be on the lookout for 10 Eugene Police patrol vehicles that have distinctive pink “POLICE” lettering on their sides in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October 1 – October 31).
Many of those who work at Eugene Police have had their families’ lives touched in some way by breast cancer. EPD stands in support of everyone in our community who is fighting this disease, along with their families and friends.
The international symbol of breast cancer awareness is a pink ribbon. The color pink also is an expression of moral support for people with breast cancer.
