Nominations are now open for the 2020 Martin Luther King. Jr Community Leadership Award. Each year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the City of Eugene Human Rights Commission recognizes an individual for their contribution in the areas of human rights and race relations in our community.
Nominees should be someone who demonstrates leadership in making Eugene a more inclusive and supportive city for communities of color. The award will be presented on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 20, 2020, by the City of Eugene Human Rights Commission. The award will be given out during the annual MLK march.
Nominations are to be submitted no later than Friday, December 13 at 5 p.m. Past award recipients, City of Eugene employees, and current Human Rights Commission members are ineligible.
