Deceased Subject Found in Amazon Creek Natural Area

At 1 p.m., today, January 28, Eugene Police officers were called to the Amazon Creek natural area near 11th Avenue and Oakpatch for a possible body found by students from Churchill High School working on a project in the area.
Officers quickly located the area and found the person deceased of what appears to be a suicide. The Lane County Medical Examiner will continue the investigation.
The person’s identity is not being released until the family has been notified.
