[ARCHIVED] Sheldon Pool Renovation Outreach Begins

Thank you Eugene! Your Parks & Rec bond and levy dollars at work

Thank you again, community members, for voicing your support for the future of Eugene Parks and Rec. The $39 million bond and $3.15 million levy passed in May 2018 has already helped Eugene Rec to begin renovations of the Echo Hollow Pool & Fitness Center and Campbell Community Center. Now it’s time to turn our attention to the Sheldon Pool & Fitness Center and we want to hear from the public.

To meet increased demand for pool space for recreation, fitness and competitive swimmers, it’s time to renovate. Bathrooms and locker rooms need upgrading to meet increased occupancy and code requirements and better utilizing the indoor space is key. Improving the energy efficiency of the pool is also required by code.

Outreach Sessions

Join us at one of the following sessions to hear from City planners and the architecture firm leading the redesign. Let us know how you use Sheldon Pool and what amenities and programs you would like to see considered in the renovation.

  • Dates: Wednesday, Feb. 12, and Thursday, Feb. 13
  • Time: 6-8 p.m.
  • Location: Campbell Community Center, 155 High Street

Online Survey

If you are unable to attend one of the two outreach sessions in February, please fill out the online survey about what you would like to see included in the renovation of Sheldon Pool & Fitness Center.
