[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested for Menacing with Firearm

The arrested suspect is Tayuan Chang, age 40

At 3:01 a.m. today, April 22, Eugene Police officers responded to apartments at 441 E. 17th Avenue after reports one man had been menaced by another with a gun after a verbal dispute about noise.


The suspect, Tayuan Chang, age 40, was inside his apartment and officers attempted to make phone contact but were unable to get a response. The bear cat (armored vehicle) was moved into the area and Chang was hailed. He was safely taken into custody and taken to Lane County Jail on the following charges: Unlawful Use of Weapon, Menacing in the First Degree, Recklessly Endangering.
