[ARCHIVED] Facebook post leads to investigation and several charges

On April 30, 2020, the Eugene Police Financial Crimes Unit were alerted to a posting on Facebook involving a male subject who was shooting an AK-47. FCU conducted further investigation, and eventually obtained a search warrant for the home of the suspect, Travis William Ray Bean, age 32, of Eugene, on the 1200 block of Bramblewood. Detectives located a rifle in the home, as well as a pistol which had been reported stolen from a burglary in 2018. Detectives also located a pound of methamphetamine in Bean’s bedroom closet.

On May 19, 2020, Bean was taken into custody away from the home with the assistance of SWAT, and charged with two counts Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Delivery of Meth, Unlawful Possession of Meth, Maintaining a Drug House, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.
