[ARCHIVED] City of Eugene Closures in Observance of Memorial Day

In accordance with Governor Brown’s rules to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Oregon, the City of Eugene has taken actions to reduce potential exposure to this virus, especially for those individuals who are at higher risk of severe illness. While essential City services have remained unchanged, some services have been offered online, by phone, and by email. Police, Fire, Medical and Other Emergency Services

Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on Memorial Day, just as these essential services have remained constant throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.


Public Works

No work will be done on City street repair projects. Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption.


Parking

City-managed parking garages, surface lots and on-street meters will be free on May 25, except for the train depot surface lot. On-street parking limits in the Arena District surrounding Matt Knight Arena are in effect at all times as per posted signs.


Airport

The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene, will be open for business on May 25. The airport administrative offices will be closed May 25. For flight schedule information, go to www.flyEUG.com.


The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is Independence Day on Friday, July 3, 2020.
