Coming up: the Eugene Public Library Foundation’s and Friends of Eugene Public Library’s annual spring fundraisers!

Read about Sunday

Join the Eugene Public Library Foundation and Honorary Chair Mayor Lucy Vinis for "Booked for the Evening" on Saturday, April 4, 6:00 p.m. at Valley River Inn. The celebration will feature delicious food and drink, performances, silent and live auctions, and hands-on "maker" activities, all with the theme "The Library: Our Window Onto the World." This year’s event launches a 3-year pilot project to fund Eugene Public Library cards for all Eugene public school students, regardless of City residency, extending full library services to an additional 800 students in Eugene School District 4J and 400 in the Bethel School District. Learn more and purchase tickets for "Booked for the Evening" here.

Save the dates for the giant Friends of Eugene Public Library Book Sale: Saturday, April 18, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, April 19, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Lane Events Center (Fairgrounds). Choose from thousands of gently-used and like-new books on all topics, at bargain prices - most only $2.00. Also for sale will be DVDs, audio books, sheet music, music CDs, and ephemera. Proceeds go to support Eugene Public Library classes, programs, and events, with a focus on youth including a free, brand-new book for each child and teen who signs up for Summer Reading. Learn more or sign up to volunteer at the Book Sale here.
