[ARCHIVED] Sentencing for Harassment/Intimidation



On December 15, 2019, police responded to a bias crime incident that happened inside the Sizzle Pie restaurant, 910 Willamette Street, and received information of a 25-year-old non-binary victim, who was pushed to the ground by a 24-year-old man. During the incident, a slur was used toward the victim, derogatory to the victim’s gender. The suspect, Christian Andrew Larson, of Springfield, who was unknown to the victim, was contacted by police at the restaurant and arrested on charges of Harassment and Intimidation.


Larson has been sentenced for a bias crime of Assault in the Fourth Degree, and to 10 days in jail for each charge, to run concurrently, and including 24 months of probation.,


The Eugene Police Department is using this incident to increase awareness of City of Eugene resources regarding Discrimination, Hate and Bias Complaints, and how to report hate and bias crimes in the City of Eugene.
