[ARCHIVED] K9 Capture at Patterson Alley

K9 Officer Griffith and Cwyk were driving down Patterson Alley between East 17th and East 18th Avenues. This is an area with a high amounts of thefts from vehicles and other property crimes, so they were conducting a patrol check.  Officer Griffith observed a man later identified as Chandler Cem Cameron, age 25, of Florence, several times in the area, hiding near cars and on private property.  When Griffith observed Cameron trespassing, he initiated a person stop. 

 

Cameron ran from Officer Griffith, so Officer Griffith put K9 Cwyk to work. Cwyk located Cameron hiding nearby in some bushes. Cameron was compliant given the K9 presence. He was arrested on charges of Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and warrants from Springfield Police and Lane County Circuit Court.
