Today at approximately 8:49 a.m., police received information of a woman who was running on the bike path between Valley River Center and Coburg Road with her dog, when she was accosted by an unknown male subject. The woman, age 44, was able to get away and continued her run, however, on her way back, the man interfered with her again. Police responded to the area and were able to locate the described suspect, Richard Allen Rudolph, age 41, of Eugene, and contacted him regarding the incident. He was arrested for Harassment, Carry Concealed Weapon and Open Container.

During the investigation, police received information of an unknown male bystander on a bicycle who stopped to help the woman, and assisted her back to her car at VRC. If this person is willing, Officer Richard Bremer, who responded to the call, would like to reach out to the bystander for more information about the incident, and to thank him for his response in ensuring a safe resolution before leaving the scene.
