[ARCHIVED] Eugene Police Street Crimes Unit Arrests Suspects Following Ongoing Narcotics Investigation

SCU News

On October 21, the Eugene Police Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant on the 3200 block of E McKenzie St in Coburg, OR. The search warrant was the culmination of an ongoing narcotics investigation, with cooperation and assistance from the Lane County District Attorney's Office as well as Lane County Parole and Probation. The investigation led the Street Crimes Unit to the address, occupied by Justin Wayne Arbogast, age 37, of Coburg.

Arbogast was arrested the night prior, October 20, on a Parole Violation Warrant and PCS Methamphetamine by the Street Crimes Unit, after he drove one of his vehicles from the address into Eugene.

From the property, the Street Crimes Unit seized a .357 revolver, approximately 1.35 pounds of methamphetamine and one pound of heroin.  Also seized were functional digital scales, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.

Arbogast was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm as well as Delivery and Possession of both Heroin and Methamphetamine. He was lodged at the Lane County Jail on the charges.

Two additional arrests were made during the investigation. Evan William Murdoch, age 40, of Eugene, charged with Possession of Heroin, and Richard Paul Milton, age 42, of Eugene, was charged with Contempt of Court, Delivery of Heroin, and Driving While Suspended (Felony).

Police want to encourage the public to report any behavior in their neighborhood that appears suspicious, such as high levels of traffic from residences with potential drug related activity.
