Clay Bradley Nysten, age 32, of Eugene, was arrested by Eugene Police on October 31, 2019, for Robbery in the First Degree, Assault in the Third Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. This week, he was sentenced on the charges, in addition to several charges from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office that included an additional robbery, multiple burglaries and theft charges.
He received a combined sentence for 120 months in prison.
PREVIOUSLY RELEASED JULY 10, 2019:
On July 9, at approximately 8:45 p.m., police officers and a K9 unit responded to the Mobil gas station at 367 Highway 99 North for a robbery and received information that the suspect demanded money and fired a gun in the direction of the employee inside the location near the office. The suspect left without cash and is described as a white male, mid-20s, approximately 5’7” in height.
In a separate incident, around 12:26 a.m., police officers and a K9 unit responded to an armed robbery involving a gun at Jasper’s Deli, located at 1504 Coburg Road. Police received information that the suspect, described as a white male, around age 30, approximately 6’1”, thin build, with a dark scarf covering his face, pointed a gun at an employee, demanded money, and left the location with cash.
