[ARCHIVED] City of Eugene Closures in Observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

City of Eugene services and facilities have different schedules for holiday hours. All City of Eugene administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 18, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

 

Library, Recreation and Cultural Services

All community centers, pools and three locations of the Eugene Public Library will be closed. 

 

Police, Fire, Medical and Other Emergency Services

Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on Monday, January 18. The main police station on Country Club Road is open 365 days a year. Although the Downtown Public Safety Station will be closed on January 18, the Downtown Patrol Team will be on duty in the area.

 

Public Works

No work will be done on City street repair projects. Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption.

 

Parking

City-managed parking garages, surface lots and on-street meters will be free on January 18, except for the train depot surface lot. On-street parking limits in the Arena District surrounding Matt Knight Arena are in effect at all times as per posted signs.

 

Airport

The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene, will be open for business as usual through the holidays. The airport administrative offices will be closed January 18. For flight schedule information, go to www.flyEUG.com or call 541-682-5544.

 

Spay  and Neuter Clinic

The clinic will be closed on Monday, January 18. 

 

All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours on Tuesday, January 19, unless otherwise noted. The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is President’s Day on Monday, February 15, 2021.
