[ARCHIVED] Woman Arrested After Discharging Firearm During Dispute

On March 23, at 1:03 a.m. Eugene Police officers were called to Moon Mountain Drive and Glenwood Boulevard regarding a dispute with shots fired. When officers arrived, the suspect, Nicole Burke, age 50,  was detained after a dispute with people who were homeless in her neighborhood. It was found that during the dispute, Burke fired a round from her handgun. Burke was also found to be intoxicated. The victim of the dispute is a male, age 36. Burke was charged with DUII, Unlawful Use Weapon, and Reckless Endangering. Additional charges may be pending.
