[ARCHIVED] Woman Arrested for DUII at Lucky's Tavern Parking Lot

EPD Patrol Vehicle

On April 6, at 9:32 p.m., Eugene Police officers were flagged down at Lucky’s Tavern, 933 Olive Street, regarding an intoxicated driver reported to pose a danger of running people over with her van. The officers spotted the driver, later identified as Gretchen Alisa Watkins, age 49, driving in reverse in the alleyway just east of the parking spaces and yelling as she leaned out the window. The officer shone a flashlight at Watkins and ordered her to stop. She came out of her vehicle. The officer found she had a warrant for DUII Failure to Appear out of Lane County.

Watkins was uncooperative during the arrest, and while en-route to the jail she kicked the interior of the patrol vehicle, causing significant damage to the interior of the door and partition area. She was lodged at the Lane County Jail on charges of DUII, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.
