[ARCHIVED] SCU Arrests Man for 6 Counts Felon in Possession of Firearm, Possession of Body Armor

SCU News

On April 23, 2021, Eugene Police Street Crimes Unit applied for and was granted a search warrant for a shop and apartment belonging to Zane Aaron Robinson, age 44.  EPD SWAT took Robinson into custody at 300 block of Wallis Street after an SCU officer observed him remove a large case from the shop that ultimately contained firearms and ammunition.  An additional firearm was located inside.

The search of Robinson's apartment in the 1700 block of Cal Young Road yielded body armor with ballistic plates, ammunition, and a large quantity of cash.  Based on information SCU had received, SCU Officer Joe Kidd deployed narcotics K9 Jack and conducted a controlled sniff of the cash. K9 Jack alerted to the odor of narcotics and over $44,000 cash was seized pending further investigation.

Robinson was lodged at the Lane County Jail for six counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and one count of Felon in Possession of Body Armor.
