[ARCHIVED] New Bike Share Operator

Bike Share Operator

The City has selected Cascadia Mobility to operate Eugene’s bike share system, PeaceHealth Rides. Bike share has been operating in Eugene since 2018 and is a partnership between the City of Eugene, the University of Oregon and Lane Transit District. PeaceHealth Rides is sponsored by PeaceHealth, and bikes can be rented throughout Eugene at any of the 40 stations sporting the 300 distinctive blue bikes.

Cascadia Mobility is a new nonprofit formed by Forth – a Portland-based nonprofit advancing electric, shared and smart transportation. Leading Cascadia Mobility is Brodie Hylton, a transportation professional with extensive experience in bikeshare. Cascadia Mobility’s first priority is the operations of PeaceHealth Rides in Eugene, with plans to eventually expand bikeshare programming throughout Oregon.

“Shared mobility is a community asset," Hylton said. "The nonprofit model is ideally suited to operating programs in smaller urban communities, such as Eugene. We are thrilled to begin operations of the  PeaceHealth Rides bike share program and to collaborate with the Eugene community.”
