[ARCHIVED] Fatal Crash at W. 18th and Parliment Street

Update:  

 

Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation team is investigating the motor vehicle crash, in which two people died. The crash occurred on W. 18th Avenue near Parliament Street and was a single-vehicle crash into a tree, with a subsequent fire. 

 

The identities of the involved are still pending, as is the cause of the crash. Anyone with relevant information about the crash is encouraged to call 541.682.5111. 

 

The roadway has reopened to traffic.

Traffic Advisory – West 18th Avenue Josh St to Four Oaks Grange Rd

 

The Eugene Police Department is advising motorists to avoid West 18th Avenue between Josh Street and Four Oaks Grange Rd due to traffic collision causing traffic congestion and delays.   Traffic is shut down in both directions on West 18th Avenue.   Motorists should avoid the area until further notice, delays are expected to last for at least the next several hours. 

 

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes of travel and avoid the area.
