[ARCHIVED] Street Crimes Unit Patrols Leads to Arrest of Man, Recovery of Stolen Vehicle

On May 11, a Eugene resident reported her car had been stolen. On May 20, shortly after 5 p.m., a Eugene Police Street Crimes Unit officer spotted the stolen vehicle as he was conducting patrol checks in the area of Ed Cone and Owen Loop. A woman was in the vehicle, which was stationary. A short time later, a man entered the vehicle and then got in the driver seat and began to drive away. 

 

SCU officers performed a traffic stop. The driver, Brandon Francesco Blair, age 35, of Veneta, was charged with Unauthorized Use Vehicle and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. 

 

The owner of the vehicle was not able to be reached so it was towed for safe keeping.
