[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Police Investigating Incident Involving Gunshot Victim on Kinsrow Avenue

Following the shooting on May 24, 2021, police obtained initial information that the gunshots came from a vehicle during the incident. This information has not been supported by witness observation, video, or other evidence collected from the location. 

 

The violent crimes unit has identified Jadquinn Onyey Cole, age 18, of Eugene, as a witness who was in the area during the incident, and are asking if anyone has information regarding his whereabouts to contact police at 541.682.5111. Cole currently has a warrant for arrest, unrelated to this case. 

 

Police are continuing to look for additional witnesses and anyone who might have observed the incident to call Detective Jennifer Curry at 541.682.5166.

May 24, 2021


Today at approximately 2:45 p.m., May 24, Police responded to information of a gunshot victim on the 3500 block of Kinsrow Avenue at the Willamette Garden Apartments. 

Eugene Police and emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital with life threatening injuries.  

Police received information that the victim was in the commons area on the apartment property when the incident happened.

The investigation is ongoing and police are continuing to investigate all leads and looking for the suspect/s.
