Summer is a great time to try out different transportation modes for getting around town and beyond! Next time you’re looking for an adventure, considering a multimodal adventure starting from Eugene.
Try an adventure with a mix of transportation modes:
Bike to, and walk, the river: Rent a PeaceHealth Rides bike share bike and ride down to Skinner Butte. Park the bike at the bike share station at the base of Skinner Butte and walk along the beautiful Willamette River. Stop by the Owen Rose Garden to smell the roses or dip in the river to cool off.
Bus to a local skate park: Hop on an LTD bus to skate one of the many shared use paths around Eugene. Then skate over to a community skatepark to continue practicing your skills.
Bike and bus to the coast: Grab your summer beach essentials and bike and ride down to the Eugene Amtrak station. At the station, take the Link Lane bus out to Florence to beat the heat at the beach for the day. Take your bike with you on the bus or park it in one of the secure BikeLink bike lockers.
Bus to an out of town bike or hike: Walk or roll to the Downtown Eugene LTD Station and hop on the bus for a day of fun. Take the #98 to Cottage Grove for a day of biking the Covered Bridges Scenic Bikeway on the Row River Trail. Or take the #91 to visit the Mckenzie River Ranger station for a day of hiking on the Mckenzie River Trail.
