The upcoming 4th Avenue project will repave and improve bike and pedestrian access on 4th Avenue (Pearl Street - Coburg Road) and Mill Street (4th Avenue - 2nd Avenue). The project also includes a protected bikeway on 4th Avenue between Mill Street and Coburg Road, crosswalk striping along 4th Avenue, reconstructed sidewalk access ramps and stormwater and wastewater improvements. The protected bikeway will provide a safe connection for people of all ages and abilities traveling from the 5th Street area to the riverbank path. Work is tentatively planned to begin in August 2021.
