[ARCHIVED] Suspect in Menacing APA (domestic) case rolls his vehicle and is taken into custody at Green Acres

At 12:22 p.m. today, a suspect identified as Edward Leo Gent, age 33, of Monroe, with an attempt to locate for Menacing APA (domestic Abuse Prevention Act) and a warrant, was spotted driving a vehicle near River Road and Division Avenue. Eugene Police patrol officers, detectives, and Lane County Sheriff’s Office attempted to locate Gent. 

Gent was observed driving recklessly and endangering the public and law enforcement officers in the area. Gent was weaving through traffic and he made an illegal pass, overcorrected and was involved in a single-vehicle roll-over crash in the 1400 block of Green Acres Road at about 12:47 p.m. He was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. He will be charged with Menacing APA, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, Elude, Tampering with Evidence.
