[ARCHIVED] Two charged after shooting an airsoft at people from their vehicle

On August 3 at 11:44 p.m., Eugene Police were dispatched to a report of a man who had been shot in the face with a realistic-looking airsoft gun at 14th and Willamette by someone in a sedan that had driven past him. There were three people total, who reported similar incidents within a close time frame and proximity. One of the victims reported he was riding an electric scooter and he was almost hit by the vehicle as it left the area. 

 

Multiple officers arrived to look for the vehicle and an officer spotted it near 11th and Willamette. Officers contacted the two occupants who were cooperative. 

 

After an investigation Jamal Jarquis Hill, age 20, of Eugene, and Desmond Demond James, age 20, of Mobile, Alabama, were both charged with three counts each of Reckless Endangering, Assault, Unlawful Discharge Firearm, and Disorderly Conduct
