[ARCHIVED] Seeking tips in fatal hit and run involving truck and pedestrian

Eugene Police is investigating a fatal pedestrian/vehicle crash that occurred around 8:40 p.m. at W. 11th and Olive. The truck left the scene and investigators are seeking tips. The vehicle is described as a light-colored, full size truck, possibly a Dodge, lifted, and with dark wheels. The vehicle’s exhaust system was loud and the truck possibly has front-end damage. 

 

Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation team responded and is conducting an investigation.  Anyone with relevant info is asked to please call 541.682.5111.


The Eugene Police Department is advising motorists to avoid  Olive Street from 10th to 12th and 11th Ave from Willamette to Charnelton due to the traffic collision. Traffic is shutdown in the area. Motorists should avoid the area until further notice as the closure is expected to last for an extended period. 

 

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes of travel and avoid the area.
