[ARCHIVED] Attempting To Locate Armed Suspect Involved In Multiple Incidents Last Night

On October 29, around 10:30 p.m., Eugene Police responded a report of an unknown man who approached a male victim outside a residence on East 18th Avenue and directed them out of their vehicle with a handgun. The suspect was unable to enter the vehicle and fled the area on foot. Eugene Police subsequently received a report that a man, believed to be the same suspect, stole a cellular phone from another male victim in the area near East 18th Avenue and Emerald Street. 

 

Eugene Police and UOPD officers responded and established a perimeter to attempt to locate the suspect but were unsuccessful. The suspect was described as dark-skinned, Caucasian male, in his mid-30s with an average build and a height of approximately 5’10” to 6’. The suspect was seen wearing a blue-plaid jacket, dark blue or black pants, white shoes and black beanie. He was last seen traveling eastbound on foot on 19th Avenue.
