[ARCHIVED] South Bank Path Work Wraps-Up

South Bank Path

The South Bank Path has been realigned and poured and the old path has been updated to a gravel walking and running path. The updated section should be open mid-November, so get ready to travel the smooth and illuminated path soon! Until then, the path remains closed from the Frohnmayer Pedestrian & Bicycle Bridge (to Autzen) to the DeFazio Pedestrian & Bicycle Bridge (to Alton Baker), so plan to use the north side during construction.

The South Bank Path project will realign and rebuild approximately 3,000 feet of the path from the Frohnmayer Pedestrian & Bicycle Bridge to the Hilyard Street entrance. The project will construct a new twelve foot wide concrete path realigned away from the top of riverbank, build a six foot wide gravel trail where the current asphalt path is located, and add lighting.
