[ARCHIVED] Trees for Troops Volunteer Event

On Friday, November 12, City of Eugene Parks and Open Space is partnering with Easterseals of Oregon and Active Bethel Citizens to host a “Trees for Troops” volunteer event.

Veterans, families and members of the public are all invited to join us at Mangan Park from 9 a.m. – noon to honor those who have served the country’s armed forces and help plant trees in this neighborhood park.

Just as veterans have made a lifelong investment to service, planting a tree is a lifelong investment in water quality, carbon reduction and your community.

This is a family-friendly event, no experience is necessary. Parks and Open Space will provide tools, gloves and instruction. COVID protocols will be in place and RSVPs are required.

Please RSVP to Danielle Klinkebiel or 541-510-9318
