At 11:28 p.m. on November 30, Eugene Police were called to respond to the 1300 block of Oak Patch regarding shots fired. Multiple people in the area reported hearing multiple gun shots and a man, later identified as Korbin Alcide Renaud, age 30, of Eugene, was observed shooting a hand gun, going into an apartment and then coming out and leaving in his car. An arriving officer quickly located the vehicle near 17th and Buck. Due to the call details regarding involvement of a firearm, officers conducted a high-risk stop with multiple officers. Renaud was safely taken into custody.
Renaud was suspected of intoxication and a DUII investigation was conducted, while other officers returned to the involved apartment complex on Oak Patch to investigate the shots fired incident.
A firearm was recovered in the apartment. Renaud was transported to Lane County Jail on charges of DUII, Unlawful Use Weapon, Reckless Endangering, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, Unlawful Use of Weapon, and Driving While Suspended. Case 21-18860
