[ARCHIVED] Street Crimes Unit assists Patrol in arrest

SCU News

On December 2, at 5:06 p.m., Eugene Police Street Crime Unit assisted an EPD Patrol officer with the apprehension of Jaysun Alyn Frost, age 46, at a residence in the 500 block of Danebo.

EPD’s Patrol officer had Probable Cause to arrest Frost for a domestic assault. Frost had sent the 28-year-old victim a photo of himself holding a firearm with the trigger depressed. The officer contacted SCU officers as he located Frost at the Danebo location and needed help to take him into custody, since Frost was potentially armed.

The SCU responded and began working the case and observed Frost at the location, then wrote and applied for a search warrant that was granted by a Lane County Circuit Court judge. Officers surrounded the residence and began using the loudspeaker to hail Frost from the residence. Residents came out and ultimately yelled to Frost to come out. Crashing was heard and officers spotted Frost running from the residence, as he had used the HVAC shaft to exit. An officer in concert with Police Sergeant Rob Griesel and his K9 partner Kuiil took Frost into custody.

Frost was lodged at the Lane County Jail for Assault in the First Degree (Parole Violation Warrant), Theft in the Second Degree (Probation Violation Warrant), Escape in the Third Degree, Assault in the Fourth Degree, and Criminal Mischief III. Cases 2118975 and 21-17761
