[ARCHIVED] Records Section plays Santa to family of 10

Holiday tree with wrapped presents under it

Santa has some new elves this year. Our EPD Records Section got a call from the North Pole and went to work with St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County to help sponsor a family in need. They spent the last couple of weeks getting holiday presents and money together to help spread some cheer for a family of 10 they were paired up with (dad, mom, eight kiddos, and a dog). They were able to raise $640 in gift cards, get each family member a pair of pajamas like they requested (even the pup will participate in pajama fest), a gift for each family member that was on their wish list, and gift cards! We are thankful to Eugene Police Foundation for donating $250 for the gift cards, and to our employees and families for their donations. (The photo is of wrapped presents that will be taken along with gift cards to the family today!)
