[ARCHIVED] Fatal pedestrian-train crash

Officer in Traffic Safety Vest

Central Lane 911 received a call at 3:27 a.m. today, January 6, regarding a fatal crash between a pedestrian and train at Railroad Boulevard and North Polk Street. Eugene Police responded, as well as Lane County Medical Examiner. The crash is under investigation. The pedestrian has been identified as Ryan Silar Schroder, age 39, of Springfield.
