According to a recent article in the Register Guard, “The symposium is expected to attract more than 250 social media users from destination marketing organizations, hotels, resorts, attractions and other tourism-related entities, according to Travel Lane County. The agency [Travel Lane County] estimates landing the conference would have an economic impact of $200,000 in direct spending alone, not counting the potential value of social media exposure and future bookings that could result from the conference.”
