[ARCHIVED] Know Before You Go: WCH Oregon22

Feel the Glory artwork for World Athletics event

World Athletics Championships Oregon22 is almost here. The global experience will bring the best track and field athletes in the world to Eugene in a celebration of diversity, human potential, and athletic achievement.

An event of this size will also bring traffic impacts and road closures. For a complete list of the closures visit the WCH Oregon22 Know Before You Go webpage

Marathon-specific information can be found on the WCH Oregon22 website.

People should plan ahead throughout July as they move throughout the city. The City of Eugene highly encourages sustainable and active modes of transportation (walking, biking, and riding the bus) when traveling to and from the World Athletics Championships Oregon22.

The Eugene Riverfront Festival is a free event for the community and visitors to gather. While there is no car parking at the Eugene Riverfront Festival (held at the new Eugene Riverfront Park) without an ADA placard, there are still many ways to get to the event. Active travel options such as walking, biking, and riding the bus, and park + bike/walk options will be the most efficient ways to get to the Festival and throughout Eugene during the World Athletics Championships Oregon22.

Check out the Get There Guide: Eugene Riverfront Festival for specific information on all the active transportation options for the Festival.
