In early April 2022, Bendan Ivor Lord, age 22, and another male suspect took took an Infiniti sedan on a test drive from a local used car dealership. They never returned the car. Instead, Lord used the car to commit additional crimes. On April 11, 2022, Lord and a different man committed an armed robbery at Ashley's Deli, 2578 Willamette Street. The stolen Infiniti was the getaway car.

About a week later, Lord was found sitting in the stolen car outside Diamond Deli at 795 N Danebo. Two firearms were located in the stolen car with Lord. One of those pistols was stolen from a vehicle in central Oregon.

On July 22, 2022, Lord pled guilty to the following crimes:  Robbery in the First Degree, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Theft in the Second Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle.  He was sentenced to 90 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections.

In 2021, soon after being released from the Department of Corrections for previous crimes, Lord came under investigation of the Eugene Police Department Street Crimes Unit and was subsequently arrested on several charges. In July of 2022 he pled guilty to the crimes of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Commercial Drug Offenses (of Methamphetamine), and Felon in Possession of Body Armor related to that 2021 Street Crimes Unit case.
