Get free  job hunting information and guidance with Lane County Workforce Services  and WorkSource Lane.  These experts offer in-person job hunting workshops, one-on-one appointments, and online career exploration workshops.


In-person workshops at the Downtown Library

Attend one, two, or all three  sessions.


Job Hunting 101

Thursday, Nov. 3 , 3 p.m.

Topics include: finding employers who are hiring, approaching possible employers and following up, creating a resume, interviewing for success, and keeping employment after the probationary period.


Job Hunting 102

Thursday, Dec. 1 , 1p.m.

Topics include: learning about your industry and identifyingprospective employers, envisioning your short and long term employment goals, and getting resume and interview advice.


Professional Networking

Thursday, Jan. 12, 10 a.m.  

Topics include: learning to concisely describe yourself and your skills, practicing talking and connecting with new people, and learning about online and in-person networking opportunities including letters of introduction and informational interviews.


One-on-one appointments at the Downtown Library

Lane County Workforce Services  also offers one-on-one job search help by appointment at the Downtown  Library.  Workforce career advisors assist job seekers with online applications, resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills, community resources, networking, and training scholarships. They help people make career plans, become more employable, improve job search skills, and find work. Online career exploration workshops

2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Join Lane County Workforce Services to explore ways to identify your skills and interests while researching possible career choices.  Career exploration will provide you access to assessments based on preference and gained experiences.  In addition, get a review the labor market and discover jobs in growing local industries.


This workshop will be held the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, featuring updated information and new conversations. Participate at one session or more. No registration needed.
