[ARCHIVED] Eugene Springfield Fire Hires Fire Marshal

Eugene Springfield Fire is pleased to announce the hiring of Travis Worthington as Eugene-Springfield’s Fire Marshal. Fire Marshal (FM) Worthington is a 28-year decorated career veteran of fire and emergency services and has served with Local and State agencies in Georgia, Virginia, and Washington. FM Worthington rose through the ranks as a Firefighter/Paramedic to the positions of Fire Chief, Emergency Management Director, and Fire Marshal.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science (Summa Cum Laude) with a focus in code enforcement and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) with a focus in Leadership; additionally, he has acquired a multitude of credentials and professional designations during his years of service.  


“We are excited to have Travis and his depth of experience joining our team,” said Fire Chief Mike Caven. “We’ve made significant investments in expanding the services of the Fire Marshal’s Office to enhance our community safety and build a plan for the future. Travis’ leadership will continue and further that mission.”
