[ARCHIVED] Move EUG Community Planning

Move EUG, shaping our sustainable transportation future

You’re Invited to the Move EUG Open House!

Drop-in on Tuesday, May 16th from 4:30pm - 6:30pm

Willamette High School (1801 Echo Hollow Rd, Eugene)

Join the Transportation Planning Team on May 16th at Willamette High School for the Move EUG Open House, where you can share your ideas for walking, biking and safety projects with transportation planners, explore different types of infrastructure, offer ideas for programs to increase walking and biking, and weigh in on the current list of walk and bike projects.

What is Move EUG?

Move EUG is a community planning effort led by the City’s Transportation Planning Team to identify and prioritize walking, biking, and safety programs and infrastructure projects in Eugene. The planning team will be listening to people throughout the Eugene community about their transportation needs during Spring 2023. Move EUG will help guide the city in our work to make walking, biking, rolling, and taking the bus more accessible and enjoyable in addition to making all ways of traveling safer for everyone in Eugene.

The Transportation Planning Staff wants to hear from YOU about:

  1. Which walking, biking, and safety infrastructure projects should we recommended to City Council for funding through the 2025-2029 Street Repair Bond Measure?
  2. What updates are needed to the walking and biking infrastructure project lists in the Eugene 2035 Transportation System Plan?
  3. What kinds of programmatic ideas will encourage more trips by walking, biking, rolling, and taking the bus? This list will help inform a future update to Eugene’s Active Transportation Strategic Plan.

How to Get Involved

There are lots of ways to be involved in Move EUG! Check out the Move EUG Engage Eugene page to engage with us online, see an up-to-date list of in-person events to attend, and sign up for project email updates.

If you have infrastructure project ideas, share them with us through our interactive online map. You can show us where you think future projects are needed by visiting the map on Engage Eugene and dropping project pins. You can also attend one of our in-person events to see paper maps and ask questions about the project. If you have program ideas, share them via the online survey, or come chat with us at an event.
