The City of Eugene wants to know if there is a need for more spaces and programs that celebrate different cultures. These places and programs can make people who are often left out feel like they belong.
A needs assessment survey is available on Engage Eugene and will remain open through June 2023. Through the survey, community members and event producers will have the opportunity to provide valuable feedback on existing cultural offerings and spaces to help the city to identify areas for improvement and highlight any unmet needs. Survey results will be complemented by a series of listening sessions conducted by city staff. These sessions will be specifically geared towards hearing from marginalized voices in the Eugene community.
City staff will use the survey answers and information collected through listening sessions to prepare a report for the City Manager and City Council. The report will present any identified gaps and will be available for the community to read when completed.
