[ARCHIVED] Renter Protections Phase II Update

On August 25, 2023, the Phase II Renter Protections in Ordinance 20694 became effective and enforceable.  The administrative rules for the Ordinance are being completed and a notice will be published in The Register Guard and sent to the interested parties list when they are posted for public review and comment. For landlords that need to report Relocation Assistance Exemptions, Relocation Assistance Payments or Evictions as required by the ordinance, forms are available online. The forms are linked below and can also be accessed from the Renter Protections Process and Rental Housing Code websites.   

IMPORTANT TIP: Before you begin filling out the online forms, create an online account and sign in. This will allow you to save your progress and review your submitted forms. 

Tenant Education Information is updated with Phase II Renter Protections and available for download. Landlords are required to distribute this information with any written rental agreements by EC 8.245 (13).
