As a community-led oversight body, the Community Safety Citizen Advisory Board (CAB) monitors the City of Eugene’s collection and spending of the Community Safety Payroll Tax. The Board prepares an annual report (separate from the report prepared by the outside auditor) that documents the City’s use of Community Safety tax revenue and determines if the tax revenue was spent in compliance with the purpose and use set forth in the ordinance.

Both the CAB and the outside auditor found that CSPT funding was used for the authorized purposes and in compliance with the limitations and restrictions outlined in Community Safety Payroll Tax Ordinance (No. 20616). The annual Outside Auditor Report is also available for review.
