As hot temperatures continue, the City of Eugene reminds individuals that City Libraries, Community Centers, and the Atrium Building are good places to go to cool off.
The Downtown Library is located at 100 W. 10th Ave, and is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday - Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday - Sunday.
Sheldon Branch Library is located in the Sheldon Shopping Plaza, 1566 Coburg Road. The Bethel Branch Library is located in the Echo Hollow Shopping Plaza, 1990 Echo Hollow Road. Both branch libraries are open 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday-Saturday
The public may also cool off in the lobbies of these City Community Centers:
• Amazon Center, 2700 Hilyard Street, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., M-F
• Campbell Center, 155 High Street, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., M-F
• Hilyard Center, 2580 Hilyard Street, 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., M-F
• Petersen Barn Center, 870 Berntzen Road, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., M-F
The lobby of the Atrium Building, 99 W. 10th Ave., is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., M-F.
All City offices are closed for the 4th of July holiday.
