[ARCHIVED] Information Exchange Facilitation

At 18th and Hilyard around noon today, a bicycle ridden by a 20-year-old female collided with a white or silver sedan. A middle-aged white male with glasses was driving. According to the investigating officer, the bicyclist didn’t have any brakes on the bike, and she was unable to stop the bike during a turn.

The vehicle’s driver initially stopped to check on the bicyclist. However the bicyclist advised she was o.k. and they both went their separate ways without an information exchange. Subsequently the bicyclist began to not feel well and has been transported to the hospital.

The EPD patrol officer who investigated the crash would like to facilitate an information exchange between the two and the driver is urged to call Officer Teresa Barrong at 541.913.9671.
